(299 reviews) Hotel and room conditions were rather dirty. The carpet in the elevators should really be replaced. The tile floors in the room were clearly dirty and need a more thorough washing. Towels are thin and sparsely provided. Mattress and pillows are low quality. All of which I expect more from a 4 star hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. (28 reviews) The staff was very courteous and friendly. However, the room we were assigned on the first night was quite a shock. The shower was located in the bedroom with only a single glass wall for separation. There was no sofa and only one chair in the room, as well as just one small bath towel provided. Overall, the room felt more like a closet than a proper hotel room. Given the price we paid, we expected a much more decent accommodation. The following day, I requested a different room, which we received that evening. This room was significantly better and met our expectations. That said, I believe a discount should have been offered for the first night, which unfortunately did not happen. Overall, the hotel is very clean and modern. (34 reviews) I did not realize that we would be staying at the most iconic home in Brugge. This property is breathtaking!! It was everything we wanted and more!!! We stayed in the cottage at Barabas. The property is directly on the canal and close to everything. Our hosts could not have been more gracious and accommodating. Loved the experience!!
