While C & L don't speak English or French and we don't speak Italian, communication was no problem: beyond Google, they use the new generation of on-the-fly translation devices. Each morning, they laid on a nice spread for breakfast, so our mornings did not start hungry. Warm and personable couple, convenient location." This was the perfect space to launch our visits to other cities by car and train. Florence, Lucca, Sienna, Montecatini Alto and more. Mosquitos were an issue so we didn’t spend as much time outdoors as we would have liked. Fortunately the living room is spacious and bright. We'd open the screened windows and door and have plenty of fresh air." When we first arrived, there was a light smell of smoke in the room and a minor issue with cleanliness. We let the host know, and they responded right away with genuine kindness. They arranged another room for us for the next two nights, and when we returned to the original room, everything had been taken care of and felt fresh and comfortable. The host was incredibly considerate — always checking in to make sure we were comfortable, and even looking up the bus and train schedules for us as we waited on our last day. That small act of kindness left a big impression. It’s easy to see why this place has such a great reputation.
