The Farmhouse was very accommodating. Very clean inside and out. All the amenities you will need for a stay. The hosts provided little touches like fresh eggs to make the stay special and comfortable. The Farmhouse is secluded in nice country setting with DGS and Bernies Place Restaurant to meet personal and food needs.

Magical country stay with incredible fishing

Coming from a large city with hopes of moving to the country…this cute property was EXACTLY what we expected. Just as someone else mentioned in their review there is an old house smell but honestly after the first few hours I didn’t even notice it. The house was exceptionally clean. The beds were absolutely incredible…best sleep I’ve gotten in a while. The fishing was out of this world!! Coming from Colorado where lakes and ponds are over fishing’s and you’re lucky to get a guppy hooked….here we caught dozens of bass in the few days we tried. Mike and Marlene, thank you again for the hospitality! And thank your for the fresh eggs, they were delicious. We certainly hope to stay at your place again!

Just what we were looking for.

Wanted a place that was secluded and out in the country….and that’s just what we got. We didn’t have a lot of time to really spend here but it sure was a relaxing stay. Just in case you were wondering about the Internet….its very fast. I had some work to upload and what takes me 45 MINUTES to upload at home, I was able to upload in about 60 SECONDS there. Faster uploads made for more relaxing time! I know most people coming here isn’t looking for fast Internet, but in case you need to bring some work with you, he won’t have any problems downloading or uploading. We may have to come here again when we have a little more time to stay and the weather is a bit cooler.

Take a Stroll Through the Bamboo....then eat at Bernie's

The family had a great weekend at The Bamboo Farm. The owners communicated rental property location and access. The rental is very secluded with a few quiet neighbors to the east. Walking through the front door I immediately noticed the cleanliness. Cleanest rental that I have stayed at. Slight odor of “old house smell” but not as noticeable once there was ac airflow. Property owners contacted about an issue (Where’s the remote?) and they responded quickly. Property met needs with wifi, firm bed, ac, kitchen extras (ice, coffee pot, paper towels, etc), TV (internet TV), bath towels, shampoo/body wash, etc. Stroll through the bamboo forest leads to a spring fed pond in which I caught x6 bass (catch & release). Kitchen table on east side of house, so we enjoyed sunrise breakfast. We saw chickens & ducks, goat, and quail(?). We rested well at night with little traffic on the nearby road and no noise from neighbors. Town of Rosalie nearby for some supplies and closest restaurant is Bernie’s Place (dine-in or carry-out), which specializes in DELICIOUS pizza & pasta. My favorite was Cajun pasta. There is DGS for more supplies in town of Pisgah. Pisgah also has hiking trails & waterfalls at Civitan Park. There is a large impressive cascading waterfall. Gorhams Bluff and Weathington Park have impressive overlooks. We will consider The Bamboo Farm for a future rental. The farm was very clean & accommodating, and the area presents a good place to retreat and get away.
