"I'm really torn because the house has both pros/cons. Yes, the house is very quaint/rustic/old. Because of its age, the floors slope in places, and the ceiling beams appear to need repair, but perhaps they're just decorative?Pros:- Serene location next to the creek. Feels very private despite being right off the road with very easy access. 25 min to Asheville.-The trails across the creek in the adjacent park are not well-marked, but we had a great time walking our dog there. It's filled with native plants, including the largest patch of trout lilies I've ever seen! Beautiful! -Love that it's dog-friendly and doesn't charge extra for pets!-The hot tub is lovely and covered! -We didn't use it, but it now has a Weber grill.-Lovely toiletries!Cons:-Harder to sleep if you're sensitive to noise: One bedroom has a window unit that's fairly loud. The master bedroom is near the utility room where some sort of system routinely makes various noises that were too loud for us.-The water pressure was abysmal if you tried to use more than one faucet. So if someone was showering, we couldn't use water in the kitchen. -The shower perpetually drips. -The bridge over the creek no longer has a railing. We had no issues, but not ideal for someone less stable. -The road is out just down from the house, so access to the trails is a bit longer.-Some sheets were worn with pilling that made them feel gritty if you slept in shorts. Would suggest new sheets or plan to sleep in pants."

"We had everything we needed. We loved that there were toys for the kiddos, great outdoor space, records to listen to, ping pong, fully stocked kitchen, hot tub, fire pit, access to the river, proximity to great trails. All around a great stay! We will definitely be back!"

"The host communicated well with any questions we had. The cottage's back yard with the stream was fabulous and a great point of interest. The cottage it's self was rustic but cute. It is in a well populated area with neighbors on both sides and a camp ground across the street. We were unable to stay for the length of time we booked as we could not stay comfortably. The bed was horrible. If either of us moved the other moved like a water bed. The bed would bump the wall each time we moved as it did not feel sturdy at all. A very sleepless night. Along with that the battle between the window units and space heaters was rough. Our weekend started out at 80 degress and then cooled significantly. We highly recommend a new bed and maybe more reliable heating and cooling. Since we felt we needed to leave due to basic comfort we gave 3 stars."

"We stayed here with 3 families on our annual cabin trip. We have been doing annual cabins trips for 7 years and this is hands down the best house we have ever stayed at!! The amenities are endless!! So much space for everyone and the view is incredible!! In addition to having everything you could ever need in a vacation home, the host is so sweet and responsive for any need! Can’t recommend this place enough!! "

"This house was stunning, great for a trip with friends. Everything was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location is perfect - secluded up in the mountains but only took us less than 30 minutes to get to Asheville. The grill and hiking trail were a nice plus"

"Beautiful property! Jorge is an excellent communicator. We really enjoyed the downstairs area where we could play pool and games by the fireplace with our family for Christmas. I’d say the only concern we had was that the water was on a well and left a rust smell, otherwise the home was well stocked with supplies and easy to access."

"We absolutely loved the cabin! Miley and Bear were a huge hit with all us. We loved them. The cabin was better than I imagined. Would love to pick it up and move it to South Carolina. Will definitely be back."
