The best areas to stay in Piscia are the Old Town and the Marina, both offering distinct but equally desirable experiences. The Old Town, or 'Vieille Ville', is the historic heart of Piscia. It's characterised by narrow, cobbled streets, ancient stone buildings, and small, family-run shops and eateries. Perched on a hillside, it offers picturesque views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. Key landmarks include the Church of Saint Jean-Baptiste and the Citadel, which provides a glimpse into the island's past. This area is particularly appealing to those who appreciate history and a more traditional Corsican experience.Couples often find the Old Town ideal for a romantic getaway. Its quiet alleys and hidden courtyards provide a sense of seclusion, while the numerous small restaurants offer intimate dining experiences. Strolling through the Old Town in the evening, with the soft glow of streetlights on ancient walls, is a memorable experience. The Marina area, located at the foot of the Old Town, is a different kind of hub. It's where you'll find the port, a promenade lined with a wider selection of modern restaurants and bars, and a more contemporary feel. The Marina is the departure point for many boat excursions to nearby beaches and natural reserves. It's a flatter, more open area compared to the Old Town's hilly terrain. For families, the Marina is an excellent choice. Its proximity to the waterfront means easy access to boat trips and water activities. There are also more spacious dining options that can accommodate larger groups, and the promenade offers a pleasant place for an evening stroll with children.
