While it definitely wasn't the fanciest place I've ever stayed, our room was huge and comfortably furnished with a couch, desk, and BIG television. The mattress was divine and we slept very well. The bathroom was also very spacious with thoughtful amenities. But the best part were the people working at the hotel. They were friendly, gracious, and willing to refund half of my pre-paid stay without blinking an eye. It was obvious that their main concern is the comfort of their guests...there is someone at the front desk 24-hrs a day, back doors are locked at night, there's a nice business station for guest use, and they were happy to refill our ice bucket multiple times late into the evening. There are also several dining options nearby. I would be happy to stay here again if I'm ever in the area." RJ, the caretaker, was outstanding; his pride in the property was evident and his tour and orientation to the house didn't miss anything, he was there every day for any of out needs and always went way beyond what we have experienced with other rentals we have had. The grounds and house were beautiful and everyone enjoyed the accomodations. THE PICTURES DO NOT DO THIS HOUSE JUSTICE!!! It is so much more grand and spectacular in person, and a joy to stay there for the weekend. It was also a nice touch to have the Host call a couple of days in advance to make sure we were all set for our weekend, very helpful and made us feel welcome before we even got to the property."
