We had a lovely stay in this family hotel. The location is nice, in a remote place in the national park so you definitely need a car to reach it although we were told in the summer you can reach Cesis in two hours. The ladies running the hotel were really friendly and even let us use the sauna at 10.30 pm because we spent the evening in Cesis. Overall, I really recommend the hotel and wouldn't definitely return there if ever in Latvia again.

Excellent hotel near the old town & everything within walking distance. Was here over new year. Disappointed that the bar was closed by 12.30 on New Year’s Eve. Breakfast was excellent but the plates were cold everything you would want for breakfast was there. Spa was excellent first day was so busy so we decided to go after breakfast about 9 am & in the evening about 8 was quiet. & more manageable a lot of kids in during the day. Excellent hotel- they just get everything right, even dealing with problems. At one point we were miscommunicated breakfast time but the staff were so fantastic at dealing with the problem by ensuring that we were looked after that it not only wasn’t a problem - it was turned into a big positive. They take customer service very seriously. Excellent experience all round - other hotels could learn a lot. Great food. Lovely location. And very quiet l. All round well done !
