The grounds of this facility were amazing. All the vegetation was beautiful and its right on the beach.... but the rooms well the Bungalow, I should say, that's where we stayed were very basic . The mattress and the pillows were both hard. The walls looked like they had black mold all over them, ugh. Unser Zimmer befand sich in Form kleiner Hütten inmitten vieler anderer. Keine Klimaanlage, das wussten wir vorher. Nur ist das Badezimmer angrenzend mit offener Decke gewesen. Sprich, wenn man geduscht hat wurde aus dem ohnehin sehr feuchten, stickigen Raum gefühlt ein türkisches Dampfbad. Aufgrund der Lage des Zimmers weht keinerlei Lüftchen rein. Da konnte auch kein Ventilator irgendetwas ausrichten. Mobiliar zum Teil völlig kaputt. Alles muffte. Im Ernst, ich bin nich anspruchsvoll, aber sauber muss es für mich schon sein. Das ist kein vietnamesischer Standard! Wir waren sowohl in einfachen Zimmern mit Farn, als auch in klimatisierten Räumen. Alles war besser als dieses Zimmer. Rooms were basic but had all you needed and cleaned well daily with fresh towels and bedding. It is worth paying a little extra for the garden/sea view rooms, which is what we had. Some rooms at the back had a view of the laundry. It was right on the beach which was nice. However there were lots of tourists so if you want a quieter time perhaps go elsewhere, it was fairly noisey in the morning - which didn't bother us but may bother others! Néanmoins, le condort des chambres est très sommaires et ne conviendra pas à tout le monde. L'humidité y est assez pesante et la climatisation ne fonctionne pas très bien. De plus, il a plu dans notre salle de bain. L'hôtel est tout de même très bien situé sur l'île de Phu Quoc. Le Rorys, bar donnant sur la plage, est juste à côté et on peut y passer de superbes moments. L'hôtel met en location des scooters pour 130 000 VND pour la journée. Direkter Zugang zum feinsandigen flach abfallenden Strand. Es gibt ein paar Steine und Felsen im Wasser, man braucht aberkeine Badeschuhe . Besonders hervorzuheben ist der große schattige Liegebereich mit einfachen Liegestühlen, die immer ausreichend vorhanden sind. Das mitgebuchte Frühstück nimmt man im übernächsten Resort ein, das am einfachsten mit einem Strandspaziergang zu erreichen ist. Die Frühstückportionen sind ziemlich klein. Dafür ist das täglich abends angebotene Seafood-Grillbuffet außergewöhnlich gut, man sitzt sehr stimmungsvoll direkt am Wasser. Die Bungalows selber sind schon etwas älter und nicht moskitodicht, dafür gibt es aber Moskitonetze über dem Bett. Der Bungalow und der Terrassenbereich werden täglich gereinigt sowie Handtücher und Bettlaken ausgetauscht. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Yes, there were a few mosquitoes at night, noises in the roof, a troublesome air conditioner, but we weren't distracted by any of that. Viet thanh resort Good value for your money. Location is pretty much all that we could wish for! Very close to beautiful beach and many restaurants and minimarts close by. You can also buy water, beer and softdrinks from reception at a reasonable price. Staff was absolutely great. Everyone working in the reception did not have very good english skills, but service was always fine besides that. It is true that the resort could do some little improvements to make the place even better (rooms could have more funiture or at least nightstanda/one table more and so on). But I guess they would then charge 20-30 bucks more per night. So if you are looking for a little luxury and don't have a strict budget you might like to look at some of the more expensive resorts along the beach. But if small details don't bother you and you really value your location close to the beach and all the activites and shopping of the nearby village, nice staff and safety this would be a good choice for you. Ps. Mattresses were pretty hard. I am used to (even liking) it and I think that is the case in most of the budget accommodation in SEA. We will definately visit this place again if and when coming back to Phu Quoc island. ##### Paula ---
