I liked the place it was nice and quiet, though it could have been better. The bed seem to sink in towards the middle when two people were on it. The remote was a video controller that was attached to the TV, so to turn it on/off or change volume, you had to get up. But the morning breakfast was excellent. Only had the basic room, though according to expedia we were able to get an upgrade, but didn't. I would recommend this to someone who is looking for something a little different. The room was spacious, complete with eat-in kitchen, full living room, and big bathroom. The staff was accomodating, and the free breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. I had a one bedroom suite, which is the equivalent of a one bedroom apartment. The living room furniture was a little dated, or maybe they were going for a "retro" look, but it satified my needs. I had planned on renting a car when I got to Phoenix, but I hadn't realized that my drivers license had expired the week before. This caused me to have a little more interaction with the hotel staff as I quizzed them about places to eat within walking distance of the hotel, asked them to call me a cab, etc. They were very helpful and friendly. When I was checking out the website for this hotel prior to going to Phoenix, I thought the pool looked really small. I wasn't planning on using the pool, but I thought this might be some indication of the other accommodations. Well, if you have the same impression that I did from the picture of the pool, or if your planning on using the pool, you should note that, while the pool is relatively small, there is a pool for every building. I was in Building D, so I walked by 3 of these pools before I got to my building and my pool. We thought it would be resort like, but it was much more motel like. We had to switch rooms to get away from some of the road noise. The hotel itself and rooms have the feel of apartments so I wouldnt be surprised if this was an apartment complex turned into a hotel. There were four of us staying in the suite and we were more than comfortable. The room accomodates up to six and I don't think that would have been too crowded. The hotel was clean and kept up well. The service at the front desk could have been a little more friendly and helpful.
