City bus routes and a light rail system make this location quite desirable. The property is close to Sun Devil Stadium, Grady Gammage Auditorium, Tempe Center for the Arts and Tempe Town Lake, which is the home of the annual Ironman Triathlon and many other events. The AZ Cardinals stadium is a 30-minute drive away so this property is a perfect location for AZ Cardinals games and the annual Fiesta Bowl. If interested, the owner often has extra AZ Cardinals tickets. The nightlife of this college town makes this home ideally located for those who want to vacation in a quiet neighborhood close to where the action is. Since the property is very centrally located in the metro Phoenix area, you can hang out in Tempe or go anywhere in the metro Phoenix area very quickly and inexpensively. Executive as well as designer golf courses are nearby. A short drive will take you to numerous spring training facilities. The Phoenix Zoo is less than five miles away. The living room, bedrooms and the backyard are equipped with cable television. The interior of the house is fully tiled and newly furnished with contemporary furniture. A swimming pool -- heated during the cooler months -- accentuates the covered patio and gas grill in the backyard. When heated, the pool heater is set at 88 degrees but, if the outside temperature gets too cool, the pool temp may not reach 88\. That doesn't happen often but it does happen occasionally. There are wet suit tops in the laundry area for your use. Those will help. If you are bringing dogs to the property, please try to keep them out of the pool as dog hair can seriously clog the filtering system. The laundry room is located next to the pool. The property is also conveniently located only 4 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. You will see and hear an occasional plane while sitting at the pool, but that is actually quite enjoyable. With the house's dual pane windows, you will not hear airport noise when inside. We call this property "El Norte" because it is our only property on the north side of the street. El Norte can accommodate 6 guests but, if you need to find lodging for more, we own another vacation rental across the street. You can see it at VRBO.com/395773\. It also has a pool. You will not be charged a cleaning fee at any of our properties. El Norte can accommodate a family gathering but cannot accommodate a large event. If you are planning to host an event of any size, please clear it with the owner at time of booking. The home is spotless and beds are very comfortable. Home felt open and had great flow for graduation festivities. Kitchen had everything we needed, including large crockpot and 2 coolers. We really appreciated all of the Kcup pods for coffee selections. Shirley and Pete are amazing hosts and made us feel like family. Thank you so much! This house was all we could have asked for during our stay in Tempe. The location was great, right near the heart of downtown but without all the traffic and noise. The house had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so it was perfect for us and our friends when they visited, The pool was amazing! It stayed the perfect temperature the entire time and was very large, we basically spent most of our time either in the pool or hanging around in the great outdoor space this property had. This is our second time staying at one of Shirley and Pete’s homes. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed the pool in the evenings. The neighborhood is quiet and easy access to ASU, restaurants, and grocery stores. I recommend trying one of the huge grapefruits from the tree in the backyard. We will continue to stay at this home and Shirley and Pete’s other home a few doors down. ##### Lisa M. This is our second stay in this home. We have also stayed in another home listed by the same owners. I would highly recommend both. The house has anything you would need and a heated pool. We did use the wetsuit tops this time because the temperature was in the 60’s. They helped a lot. We also walked to ASU campus and Tempe Town Lake from the home. There are quite a few restaurants in walking distance. We will choose to stay here again. ##### Lisa M. The house was very clean and they provided several amenities not typically provided. It is nice to see 3 bedrooms, all with king size beds. We enjoyed swimming in the pool while watching baseball on the outdoor flatscreen tv. The house is very close to the ASU campus. The proximity to the ASU campus made it very easy for us to move our son into his college apartment. . ##### Christine E. Wanted to go to the Barrett-Jackson car auction, AND my dog's brother is in same town so I brought her. House was nice, really loved the pool. Dog park 1/2 block away was a big plus. Dogs let us down as they did not recognize each other (5 years apart) so no tearful videos. Real grass by the pool was nice too. ##### Shane H. Close to grocery stores and cool eateries, it's such a great little neighbourhood. Temperatures were incredibly hot in the area but between the AC in the house and the pool we were perfectly comfortable. The bedrooms all have super comfy large (King) beds with lots of extra blankets, pillows and towels. Kitchen and Laundry are both well supplied for all of the necessities and a few extra's that really helped us feel at home like cooking oils, condiments etc... The communication with the owners was excellent from the very first communication on booking all the way through to the end of our stay.
