Truly enjoyed our stay and hope to plan another trip. We loved our cabin. Great location. Close to dining and activities. WiFi spotty, but allowed us to be more present with one another. Kids watched DVDs, played board games and did puzzles. Basic but nice breakfast option, and the kids loved having the s'mores kits.
Amazing spot!!!! Beautiful location in the mountains. You deffinetly feel like you're getting away from everything when you stay the night here. Peaceful. The lady Sandra at the front was so sweet and gave such great hospitality!!! 10/10!!! Their shower is hot and the bathrooms are clean. Bed had excellent amount of pillows.... Definitely making this a yearly stay!!!!
The room was perfect, and the lodge is in a great area so nothing was too far out for this trip. The staff is literally the best, so sweet, and really put the cherry on top for a great trip
We had a wonderful stay at Phoenicia Lodge. We stayed for two nights and went hiking in the surrounding area. The lodge is in a great location—ideal if you have a car (we didn’t, but we managed just fine). Sandra was a huge help, and the welcome was fantastic. She always gave great advice and really takes good care of her guests. I highly recommend Phoenicia Lodge.
This property is beautiful. I especially enjoyed the grounds of the place. A hidden trove with beautiful cabins lush greenery all-around. The river is hidden behind the cabins so you can fly fish. We did the train car rails, through the forest, and it was so much fun.
Room was spotless, staff was super welcoming. Will come again!

Perfect place for a ski weekend. Sandra was wonderful and very helpful. Room was great and very clean. Breakfast was a great way to get the day started.
We had an amazing stay at this hotel, especially in the big suite we booked. The atmosphere was so cozy and warm, making it perfect for a few rainy days we spent there. A huge plus was the wide selection of DVDs and videos they offered—so many options, perfect for the times when Wi-Fi was a bit slow. The hotel does have Wi-Fi, but it’s just not as fast for streaming. Still, the suite was beautiful and relaxing, and though we couldn’t use the fire pits because of the rain, I imagine they’d be fantastic on a sunny day. Highly recommend this place!
The location, the warmth welcoming, the generous breakfast, the clean rooms, lots of channels on a new TV. I needed some medicine and they brought it for me. Just a great place near restaurants.
I had a very nice stay at the Phoenicia Lodge. I needed a nice quiet place to relax prior to my first "hard" hike. The best part of my stay was the genuine friendliness of the owner. She was like someone you have known forever and was very welcoming!

The stuff is very friendly, room was small and clean, conveniently located on the side of the road. However looks like the property wasn't renovated for the long time. If you are fan of rustic style this is your place to stay 😃.
The check-in experience unfortunately set a negative tone for the stay. The woman who greeted us came across as quite cold and unwelcoming, and her tone felt rough and off-putting right from the start. She also made it very clear that housekeeping would not enter the room unless specifically requested, which was communicated in a way that felt unnecessarily abrupt and uninviting.
The room itself was clean and generally fine, with no major issues in that regard. There was no outlet in the bathroom and the shower had a slight mildew smell, which was disappointing but not deal-breaking.
In terms of connectivity, cell service in the area was quite poor (which is out of the lodge’s control), but the WiFi in the room was also unreliable, which made it difficult to stay connected during the stay.
Overall, it’s a very no-frills option, but the initial interaction at check-in really affected the overall impression

Small, sturdy cottages close to the main road and creek. Not generally too loud, considering the proximity to the road. Heating and gas stove in kitchenette with pots and pans, utensils provided. Make sure to bring layers and hit up the Dollar General for snacks/grub as there isn’t much open after 7pm.
Attentive and great service. Easy prephone registration, lobby cozy and updated. DVD's to borrow. Basic room had nice bed, towels and Beekman 1802 toiletries. Mini Frigidaire fridge. I wish room had been a bit more updated. Kitch wood paneling from the 60's is an experience, but carpet was musty and damp. Grounds were beautiful. Cabin rooms had fire grills and picnic tables. Right on the main route 28 to all things Catskills.
