I loved Spinneys and wish we could have stayed longer. It is such a great spot, right on the water, super cute and quaint. I recommend 100 percent. Staff is very friendly and you have breakfast and coffee as well.
This was an amazing little place I stayed with my grown children. It was spacious yet homey. Although it was a little out of town, the kitchen was a great amenity. Right by the water, we were able to see the seals. I wish we could have moved in forever.
We were here as the next to the next last stop on our way home from our vacation. I wanted a place with close proximity to the ocean somewhere along the south coast of Maine. This place fit the bill perfectly and when we arrived about 2 hours before sundown and one hour before low tide it was even more perfect. We took an hour Long Beach walk and saw some awesome views of the river as it turns into ocean. There were few people out on the beach and the lapping of the waves and the sand was very therapeutic. Anyway, it is a really enchanting place, probably very busy during the summer. It is right at the end of the peninsula with miles of beach. The hotel itself is a trip back to the 1960s. The room was great, plenty of room, a partial view of the water. We did not see the inside of the cottages, they looked on the small side, but if all you want is easy access to the beach, this is the place. The restaurant on site was on its last night of the season so half of the menu was
Beautiful quiet February stay…such an incredible location in Popham Beach and super comfy bed! We could hear the waves crashing at night. Looking forward to coming back!
Fabulous beach, river, ocean view; only steps away. Very good restaurant also. We watched the lobster being unloaded and a short time later enjoyed them dipped in butter. Would highly recommend.
Spinners is a marvelous place to stay at if you are looking for a nice weekend at the beach. It is located right next to a delicious restaurant and Fort Popham as well. The room was really nice and amenities top notch. Staff was also mega nice
The cottage had two bedrooms. It was comfortable and clean. The restaurant next door was very good, friendly and welcoming. There was also a little store and ice cream counter connected to the restaurant.
We had nice views of the bay . The room was clean and mostly updated. Nice staff though we didn’t see them much. It’s a great spot right on a beach you could walk for miles. Very secluded which we liked but not many restaurant choices for miles. They were on end of season schedule so the restaurant was only open on weekends.id go again!!
Early in the season with spring cleanup and maintenance going on, most workers were done for the day after our easy check in. Chris and other staff were great. Easy access to the beach.
Lovely area but since the restaurant was closed for the season (end of September) we had to drive 30- 40 minutes for food. The breakfast was bagels, yogurt and cereal. Don’t think we’d stay there again
Loved staying at Spinneys, got to partake in the cedar sauna and staff was accommodating to an early check in. Next morning we were able to wake up and watch seals play in the water right out front, along with a beautiful sunrise. Will be back!
We rented a room last minute and love the beach access. Watching the sunrise from the swing just steps from our room was fantastic! Chris at the front desk showed us to our room when we arrived, telling us about the property. We will definitely be back!

We had very nice views and the room itself was very clean. The restaurant was not open during our stay, which we were not aware of. That was a bit of a problem because this property is so far from any other restaurants.
Great place! - we traveled for business, and it was only me staying overnight - not a planned vacation, just a last-minute arrangement - but so surprised at the beauty of the surroundings; the endless beach, the clear ocean so pristine and quiet - and the inn staff was so very pleasant - room was impeccably clean, quiet, just the birds - there is a restaurant right adjacent with fresh sea food, I did not have the time to check it out but it looked lively (next time) over all it was a surprised finding! Beautiful place!
The location doesn’t get any better, right on the beach! Chris and his staff made us feel right at home. The rooms have all been updated with bathrooms, AC, and coffee outside in the hall. Great full service restaurant with an extensive food and bar menu. Morning walks on the beach and sunsets were spectacular. Lots of character in a special little corner of Maine!
Cons: The room was quite small and the towels are thin. Pros: Very quiet, comfortable bed, amazing view from Room 1, great location at the end of a peninsula. There were some unadvertised free breakfast items available. Thank you. We enjoyed a walk along an empty beach in the morning. It was very windy, but the waters were pretty calm near the Guesthouse. Farther up the beach we enjoyed the amazing ocean waves! I could have watched them all day.
