"The hotel was very busy due to the fall peeper season. Our room overlooked a dance floor and was under the pub. We booked last minute so we were happy to at least get a room but the noise kept us up many hours. The breakfast consisted of frozen Jimmy Dean biscuits in an ice chest, yogurt, slices of cake wrapped to go and fruit. Couldn’t get anyone to provide water. There was coffee and one container of orange juice. We ate a light dinner at the restaurant and the food was okay. Eggplant sticks and crab cake. Our waitress was nice and fun to talk with. The view was amazing."

"My mother and I loved our stay here! She had some difficulty with the stairs (85 years old!), but found the daybed on the ground floor perfectly comfortable. The setting felt private and cozy. I appreciated stargazing from the upstairs bed at night. The decor was eclectic and charming. Fresh cut flowers were a nice touch. I highly recommend this adorable cottage, and hope to return some day, myself. There are so many fun adventures to be had within a half hour radius! Bangor, Acadia, various walks, lobsters, etc!"

"Amazing views, beautiful lake house, gracious host, secluded wooded area. We were able to do day trips from this house. Expect curvy roads, and an hr 30 min to Bar Harbor but the house is away from all that traffic and people. We loved our stay."

"Want the upta camp experience but with modern convenience? This is the place. The lake is crystal clear. The house has Maine charm so you know where you are. The host is a gentleman and can be easily reached. Loved the loons and the quiet mornings. We had a family day and relaxed on the deck and made . S'mores in the fire pit. Felt right at home!"
