"This rental was everything we expected it to be and more! Very clean, spacious for 4 people, the view of the lake was beautiful, I could go on and on! We got to watch a meteor shower on the dock, just wow! Easy check in and out, the hosts were super nice and allowed an early check in. Everything was on point for an amazing vacation!!! Thanks for having us! 100 percent would recommend!"
Maine Wilderness Oasis: Swimming, Hiking, Fishing, Boating

"This place is nicely located off the Maine route to Bar Harbor, so it works great as a stop off both going to or coming from. There's also a handy grocery shop and gas station right at the corner. The trip back and forth to Mt. Desert can easily be done in a day, especially if it is during the week. With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, laundry, full kitchen, and a comfortable TV room to entertain the kids, it's a good alternative to camping or staying in a more rustic setting. We didn't make it down to the water, as it is down a long steep driveway and across the road with iffy footing to the deck and dock area. I have difficulty walking, so for those more sure footed that might be a nice bonus."
Cozy Cabin by the Lake

"What a great place. House is setup with everything you need, very cozy. Host is very nice and communicative. The deck has a view of the pond. Kitchen has all you will need, we are foodies who love to cook. They have a Keurig, and we made cowboy coffee. Beds were comfortable. House is air conditioned though we left windows open and that was enough without a/c most of the time. We traveled with our 26y/o son who uses a wheelchair and a walker and got in with our portable 6' ramp. We could just bump him out to the deck in his manual chair. The beach is fantastic! The pond is clean and warm. Getting to the beach in his manual chair was doable as It's mostly grass to the water. You can park by the beach as well. The area is beautiful, Bangor is a very cool city. We saw a concert at the Maine Savings Ampitheatre. We also did a lot of just site seeing in the area. We did the Orono bog trail which was beautiful and very interesting. All in all a very chill vacation and chance to relax in a really cute house."
Dreamy Bucksport Hideaway on Freshwater Pond!

"Beautiful remote cabin right next to small and quiet Moulton Pond. Lots of space for a family of 5, with 3 beds and a half bath upstairs, my husband and I stayed in the bedroom downstairs with the only bathroom with a shower which worked out fine. The kitchen was stocked with pots/pans and an array of utensils - we cooked every meal and enjoyed the evenings around the fire roasting marshmallows and listening to the sounds of the bullfrogs and the resident loon family. Be aware you are in the woods so there are lots of bugs, spiders and other flying and crawling insects. The water at this time of year was refreshing however when the wind kicked up it got a bit cool. The kayaks were a plus and we tried fishing but only caught small sunfish and smelt (smaller than my hand!) There were several worthwhile hikes under 30min away and of course Acadia National Park is only an hour drive just get there early before the crowds. The Beehive trail was one of the highlights of our trip though not for those fearful of heights! Camden State Park is an hour way and well worth it and the town is cute as well. Our family enjoyed our stay in Maine, the farm fresh eggs, browsing the antique and thrift stores, and just enjoying nature."
