This classic working-class area, so named due to its history as an epicentre for the commercial shad-fishing industry, offers a colourful exception to the city’s gridded urban rule with its collection of narrow streets beset with modest row homes and independently-owned businesses.

A short ride to all tourist attractions (Independence Hall/Liberty Bell), festivities, great restaurants, shopping, and whatever else you may need. If you'd prefer not to walk, the El, bus or a taxi/uber is literally just outside your front door. Fishtown is a trendy area with some of the newest (and best) restaurants and bars, with adequate free parking directly out the front door. This place is a real gem!
