"Very dated needs refurbished. Room was dirty - dusty , small bit of rubbish in areas obviously not looked at - behind curtains & where spare reels were. Dried blood on bathroom wall Cracked bathroom sink Towel ring hanging off. Toilets in main restaurant were dirty Staff at desk helpful Great location shame money not being spent to keep it clean , presentable & nice"

"Location was ideal for train and bus access. The hotel is old and the rooms are old and in need of updating but our room was clean. The common areas (reception and restaurant) were updated at some point. They do provide a nice breakfast and food was fresh and hot. Staff were very pleasant and helpful "

"The single room was small, but not too cramped and had all that I needed. The staff were helpful arranging a boxed breakfast when plans changed to a very early start before the restaurant opened at 6.30am."

"The place is picturesque and it could be so much more if they put effort in. The bed was comfortable but not the pull out bed. The breakfast was ok, staff was very limited sometimes you were waiting half HR for a seat when really there were not that many guests. The pool had some work done and the saw dust was sitting on the side for two days. Shame as it a lovely building."
