Short walk to a beautifully white sandy beach and the sidewalk starts right at your back gate! This fantastic one bedroom, fully furnished unit has Brand New Kitchen Appliances and upgraded flooring. It offers an open floor plan of living and dining areas and a nice covered back porch with pool entrance and shaded lounge area right out your back gate. It's the perfect no hassle beach get-a-way. Stairs and elevators not required. Ground level poolside. Super easy to access. It's nicely furnished with all the comforts of home, a fully equipped kitchen plus it has built in bunks for the kids. Grand Caribbean is a well-maintained, gated community that offers a pool, private BBQ area with access to the beach, and hot-tub too. Walk to the beach and walk, jog or bike to Johnson State Beach and the Gulf Islands National Seashore just down the street. Located 30 minutes from Pensacola International Airport. Plenty of free parking. No resort fees. Spanish for "lost island," Perdido Key encompasses federal and state parks abundant with wetlands, estuaries and wildlife. The azure waters of the Gulf of Mexico frame the white beaches. These beaches and their dune habitat host a variety of visitors and residents throughout the year. Environmentalists and outdoor enthusiasts enjoy Perdido Key because it is one of the few remaining areas of protected wilderness in the Florida Panhandle. Miles of preserves offer opportunities for hiking, kayaking, and bird watching. Dolphin watch excursions and sailing tours are popular with tourists, as are moonlight cruises on the bay. Perdido Key's two state parks and an expanse of National Seashore offer chances to spot gray foxes and blue herons in the wild. Local outfitters offer guided tours, and self-guided nature trails at Big Lagoon and Johnson Beach allow solitude. The barrier island features several world renowned parks, including Perdido Key State Park, Big Lagoon State Park and Johnson Beach at Gulf Islands National Seashore. The beach dune habitat is characterized by several rows of sand dunes. "Frontal" or "primary" dunes are vegetated with grasses including sea oats, bunch grass, and beach grass. Among other plants growing in primary dunes are Florida rosemary, railroad vine and beach morning glories. Secondary dunes, further inland, support saw palmetto, slash and sand pines, and scrubby shrubs and oaks. Growing among the dunes are such species as cordgrass, salt-grass, pine trees, purslane and pennywort. The scrub and grasses growing on the dunes are vital to the health of the beach habitat. Without the critical holding power of dunes and their plants, the beaches would blow and erode away. Perdido Key is also home to the Blue Angels, the Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron; the Lost Key Golf Club, a designated Audubon Signature Cooperative Sanctuary golf course; and Flora-Bama that straddles the state line. We were able to always park close to the building. The condo is on bottom floor, which made unloading easy. I carried from car to condo, it was that close. It’s a small property meaning, not crowded. I hate staying in high rising condos with multiple elevators to get to where you are going. This was the easiest stay I have ever had. If I forgot something in my car, it took 3 seconds to get to my car. The pool was off our patio, which as a single mom with two boys, made for convenient pool days. The condo had everything we needed. Publix was down the road and used the delivery service and a pick up for the best convenience. ##### Beth K.
