Every room in every Sky Home has a water view. No Sky Home sits below the fifth floor. Spacious and comfortable, each Sky Home is at least twice as wide as a typical beach condo. With private water-view balconies, each is equipped with all the conveniences you'd expect to find in a premier resort, including spacious closets with extra linens and pillows, as well as a dishwasher, washer/dryer and much more. Every room has its own full bathroom plus a half-bath for Sky Home common-area use. Each of Portofino's five Mediterranean-inspired towers features its own exclusive outdoor pool and revitalizing whirlpool spa, plus covered parking for your convenience. Bedding is King, Queen, Murphy Bed and Sleeper Sofa Balcony does have a grill. Portofino is situated on 28 beautiful acres in Pensacola Beach between the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the gentle shores of Santa Rosa Sound. It is also adjacent to the pristine Gulf Islands National Seashore. The land itself is called Santa Rosa Island; it is the world’s largest barrier island. Portofino’s beautiful waterfront location, stunning accommodations, world-class resort amenities and customized service standards – make it a natural indulgence. No other resort is located on the Gulf of Mexico, the Santa Rosa Sound and the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Except........... This was an amazing unit and a wonderful experience. What you would expect for the price. However, nothing is perfect............ 1\. The beautiful tile floors were dirty. My grandson was black and filthy after crawling around for just a few minutes. We kept him in a smaller area and cleaned the floor ourselves. 2\. The master B/R mattress was torturous. Hard as a rock. Certainly not our preference. Beware of the massive bedframe! It kept falling apart. We don't like it "that" rough. 3\. Bath towels were 70's Holiday Inn. Not the quality you would expect for this price. PS: Bring some dish towels. Lastly, We would definitely stay here again. It's at the top of the rental chain. Besides one frying pan, no blankets and pillow cases for the fold out bed and murphy bed, and the patio furniture being very worn and splintering we had a great stay. We always have a great time at the Portofino. I was very pleased to see everything was back open and they even have sanitizer provided in all common areas and the workers were very nice and COVID cautious. One thing about the facility was they don't provide ice machines in the towers, so you have to go up to the lobby/check-in area and purchase ice because the tiny ice maker in the freezer did not even make enough ice for more than 3 drinks a day.
