"We arrive at our room and first thing we noticed was a stain on the pillows, the window was unable to close which meant it was cold in the room, shower pressure was so weak that we might as well not of had a shower, also to top it off there was a massive damp patch on the ceiling. Awful ..."

Slightly old-school grandparent vibe instead of funky Newquay surfer vibe, and some of the fittings were slightly run down if you looked closely, but that's being really critical.
