Nice hotel centrally located in Peebles

Posted 21-Aug-2017
Pros: The staff were all very friendly. It's well located in Peebles. We could have our dog with us for a small additional charge.
Cons: The bedroom was very dark.
Location: The hotel's well located for any downhill mountainbikers - the hotel has a secure cycle store and washing facilities.
We had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, but very dark - it faced in towards the building (it's out in a separate annexe) so less natural light, and it was decorated in darker tones. Very cosy at night but needed the light on during the day. All in all, a nice room. The hotel staff were lovely, too. Breakfasts were great and on the whole the evening meals we enjoyed were good too. There's very limited parking available in the hotel car park, but there's a non-restricted road behind that you can usually find a space on.

tradition hotel in the centre of the town..

Posted 02-Jun-2017
Pros: comfortable, good food, and efficient staff.
Cons: Build in a lift..
Location: Many other towns to visit, beautiful countryside, golf and fishing.
This is a traditional hotel close to the centre of the town. Very comfortable and the staff were excellent, The only problem was access to the car park at the rear of the hotel was by a number of flights of stairs and as I am in the over 80 group I found this rather a nuisance. Younger generation will find it less of a problem.

Period Town Center Hotel

A nice hotel in the middle of town. Requested accessible room = easy access - nice shower but room in the old part of the hotel - so stairs with one handrail and over 20 steps up and down to our room. Restaurant for Dinner and breakfast - good food and excellent service - very efficient even when busy.

Central location - on Main Street of town.

Posted 23-Feb-2017
Pros: It was central
Cons: See above
Location: Good location..........shopping.
Reception quick & efficient. Dining room staff, Beronica & Natalia bright, friendly & efficient. Food is very average 'pub grub' - the Cullen skink was unpalatable.....far too salty. Corridors bit run down looking and colour scheme needs attention...at least refresh the grey paintwork.

Tontine Hotel

Posted 09-Jan-2017
Pros: Great Location smack bang in the middle of Peebles.
Cons: The breakfast was nice but was only warm , prefer it if it was piping hot
Location: The world is your oyster, walking , cycling you name it and its on the doorstep
Very nice Hotel, maybe a wee bit tired in some areas, but our room was very nice. Toilet looked brand new, shower was perplexing, why do they make them complicated.
