The Pirate's Rest is an architecturally designed, bespoke built new tiny bach, 80 m walk down the reserve from the beautiful Pauanui beach front, with sea views out to the Alderman Islands from inside or from your personal slab bar on the wrap around deck. One main open plan living area with 1 x bedroom attached and bunk pod. Walking distance to beach, playgrounds, boat ramp, supermarket and restaurants. Ideal for couples, or 2 adults 2 children to try out tiny, quirky, off grid living.

Nice little house to stay and happy it was pet friendly. Only bad point was it was listed to have a hot tub which was not any where to be seen Sent text to the property manager and had no response

Perfect little spot
Our family in law stayed here, and they loved it. Private own little space away from the rest of the house. The bathroom, bed room and cute little kitchen meant they had their own little set up. They couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed there stay here .

Super cute place. Felt big after two weeks traveling in a van around South Island. The location is great. Just the second row of houses from the beach and a short walk to Pauanui's center of commerce (grocery story, bakery, 3 restaurants, second hand shop, post office...)

Very comfortable and a perfect location
Got to know the house well given all the rain. It had everything anyone could need, and the location with respect to the beach and the grocery store was wonderful. A unique place to stay. Highly recommended!

Fab tiny house!
We loved the house, and thought there was tonnes of room for a “tiny house”! The location is absolutely brilliant, all the facilities in great working order. The only challenge we found was the pots for cooking - we needed more than two! The house was cozy and homely in some pretty atrocious weather so we were glad to be inside!

We loved the Pirates Rest! The detail and craftsmanship that has gone into the tiny house is awesome. Great location. Our kids loved the bunks! Highly recommend. Lovely comfortable accommodation.

Cosy home in great location
We loved our stay in The Pirate's Rest. Proximity to the beach is excellent, and we enjoyed having the park pathway right in front. Our dog's tail didn't stop wagging the whole time - she was very reluctant to leave. Thanks for the attention to all the details as well - you had everything covered. With the fire, it was cosy even during the winter rains, so a great place to enjoy any time of the year.
