Very central location, with a drive less than 2 hours from Auckland, Rotorua or Hamilton. Well located for exploring the Coromandel, Cathedral Cove, Hahei, Hot Water Beach and Whangamata. Hike the Coromandel Ranges or catch a ferry to Tairua. Pauanui has a myriad of safe walkways, as well as off-road cycling/walking and exploring. Cafes, supermarket, liquor store, bakery, petrol station + others, together with public tennis courts, as well as putt-putt and a skate park for the kids. We had a wonderful time in Coromandel. The house was very cozy and had everything you need. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Being a winter booking we specifically chose a place with a heat pump but upon arrival found it was faulty, and the backup heater failed also, therefore we were very uncomfortable so cut our stay short and went home. How-ever there was /is a building site just over the road so we were woken by hammering most mornings. No mention of this prior to arriving and it was not a new building site.
