After booking the room days in advance, we drove nearly 7 hours to reach the property — with my wife unwell during the journey — only to receive a call from Mr. Bijoy at 5 PM asking us to cancel our reservation. His reason was that the existing guests “couldn’t fly out of India” and would be extending their stay. This is completely unacceptable. A confirmed booking is a commitment. How can a host arbitrarily decide to retain a room that has already been reserved and paid for? Poor planning on their part should not become an emergency for their guests. We were left stranded in the evening, forced to scramble for alternative accommodation after hours on the road. There was no support, no assistance, no accountability — just a request for us to cancel. To make matters worse, the guests being retained were American, and the situation raises serious concerns about preferential treatment and racial profiling. This experience reflects a complete lack of professionalism, reliability, and basic hospitality ethics. I would strongly advise future travellers to think twice before booking here if you value certainty and respect for your time and wellbeing." The only minor gripe is that we always stay in the deluxe suites 402 this time, but the other ones on other ocassions (which are all very comfortable) but none of the fridges in these rooms are cold enough. Our friends stayed in one of the other rooms and their fridge worked properly.
