You will not repeat the same restaurant twice as there are so many choices around. You don't need to do a research for food prior to your stay. As for room, there is balcony. I guess smoking is possible at the balcony since there is ash tray provided. Spacious room. There is cute swimming pool for a dip. I would say grab and taxi fare price is more expensive given that it is an island. Staying at the Andaman house was a comfortable experience. For the price, you cannot beat the stay. The staff was kind and trustworthy. There were a few minor issues with the room, such as a clogged drain in the shower and some stains on the sheets, but when you remember that you are paying so little it shouldn't matter. The noise of the traffic outside in the mornings and evenings was quite loud, but remember you are on vacation and go do something. There are a few good restaurants immediately nearby, if you are able to cross the street. Lastly, the hotel pool is perfect if the walk to the beach is too far or the excursions too expensive. It took longer to get a cab than the ride itself, which is approx 40min. The lady was helpful with any questions and was quick to find our booking and room.
