For most travellers, the best time to visit Parnarama, Maranhão, Brazil, is during the dry season, which typically runs from June to December.During these months, you'll experience sunny days and lower humidity, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural beauty, particularly the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. The absence of heavy rains ensures easier access to the park's lagoons and dunes, which are at their most spectacular after the rainy season has filled them. This period is superb for those seeking outdoor adventures and photography opportunities. The shoulder months of May and January can also be good options. In May, the lagoons in Lençóis Maranhenses are still quite full, and the crowds are generally smaller than in the peak dry season. January marks the very beginning of the rainy season, so you might catch some transitional weather with occasional showers but still plenty of sunshine.
