"We had a very comfortable stay overall. The property was clean, the beds were comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well, and the shower was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the free parking was a real plus—easy to access and very convenient for travelers with a car. The property also has easy access to the main town, although I’d recommend getting an early start on weekends. Our only real challenge was finding food after arriving late. Dining options nearby are quite limited after 9pm. There is a restaurant right around the corner, and we appreciated the 10% guest discount, although our experience there was below average. This may have been more a matter of timing than location, so I’d recommend planning ahead if you expect to arrive late. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and convenient place to stay, especially if you’re traveling by car."

"Our stay at Iztokinta was an absolute success. The house is fantastic (probably the first time that the description and photos on the website are below the reality). The decoration is remarkable, the equipment complete. The exterior of the house is also excellent (terraces, pool, carport...). The location is also very practical (small supermarket and bakery just next door) and you can walk to the center of Guéthary (restaurant, port, stores, market, beaches, activities like Basque pelota, outdoor movie center, ...) in 10-15 minutes. The bus service is also very practical (and cheap) if you want to go to St Jean de Luz, Bidart, Biarritz (much easier than by car). In addition the region has plenty of point of interests (small villages, the Rhune train, hiking trails) and I do not forget the quality of the food and the kindness of the local people. In short a five stars vacation !"

"Nous avons passé 2 semaines en juillet dans ce logement. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par le propriétaire.Le logement était conforme à l'annonce. Propre, Bien équipé, literie confortable, BBQ... Conforme à l'annonce. les plages et le centre-ville sont à proximités. Un arrêt de bus se trouve à 100 m où une navette dessert les plages et le centre ville de Bidart gratuitement en juillet et août. Il y a un autre arrêt de bus à 500 m pour Bayonne, Biarritz, Saint-Jean-de-Luz....toute la côte peut se faire sans voiture."

"The hotel has been created out of an old school and it’s lovely to see it given a new life. We liked having breakfast in the garden (which used to be the playground) and having a walk down to the fantastic beaches and cafes of Guethary. We had a room on the second floor and it was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was also big and very clean- but I prefer a separate shower. The breakfast was lovely quality and very relaxed, we liked the long tables to share with other guests. I would like the possibility to make hot drinks in the room, but everything else at Balea was perfect."
