The Applewood House is one of the most beautiful locations in Sundance. It’s a short walk to the Spa and hub of services. The kitchen and house was well stocked. There is no air conditioning, which I didn't realize till we got there. The cabin was beautiful, clean stocked well, and the management was very responsive to any questions we had. Was wonderful experience. It was a little warm during the day but usually we had other activities and could stay cool with fans provided. Plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub and foos ball were both a favorite. It felt cold most of the time even with the fireplace going, and it there were a lot of dead flies around. The home needs updating, new carpet, fresh paint (currently peeling), deck maintenance and cleaning. Cupboards had things stuffed into them, the windows were very dirty. Dead flies in the window sills and lots of bug poo. We were looking forward to using the spa but we couldn’t use it due to such a strong chlorine odor that burned our eyes immediately and made them water when we walked into the room. This was my first experience at a VRBO where there was no shampoo or conditioner provided, which was a big inconvenience. I had to buy those for one bathroom and we had to run around transferring to the different showers (all on different floors) when needed. Usually cooking oil is provided as well, but maybe these things aren’t to be expected? But with the closest grocery store 20 min away it was inconvenient. For almost 1000/nt I would have expected over-the-top but got just ok. ##### Lori S. The home was comfortable with plenty of extra pillows and blankets for the children to have a slumber party in the big great room in the basement. We enjoyed the hot tub! The kitchen has everything from a crockpot to a blend tec ! It is within walking distance to Sundance too. Chris and Lynn, the owners could not have been nicer. We couldn't find the remotes and the hot tub needed attention and they responded and the problems were fixed immediately! Wonderful owners! We will definitely be back! Thanks so much.
