I didn't stay at this property because the staff member at the front desk was VERY rude & unaccommodating to my cousin & I.
I accidentally booked a room for 1 person, which I overlooked because I saw it was a room with a double bed (usually sleeps 2). Without any prompt from me, the front desk worker said "you booked a room for 1. She can't stay here, she needs to go to another hotel". I asked if I could pay the difference of the cost for 1 more person & he said no.
I asked to speak to a manager to get a further explanation & he said no, the manager won't see me, they'd be busy all day (although he went to the back to talk to "someone" prior).
He then instructs to call Expedia to cancel. I'm from the US so it was going to cost me to make calls so I politely asked him if I could use the phone to cancel my booking (using the international number) & he said "NO we don't have a phone" after he took 2 phone calls in front of me. So as a paying customer they were rude to me and wouldn't assist me in any way.
I then used my phone to cancel the booking - 31 minutes. An Expedia member called & said they refused to issue a refund AND were still rude. I would understand if I was trying to check in late & they missed a day of a potential booking but i arrived before check-in time. I'm disappointed that Expedia hasn't at least matched what i lost to the hotel in a voucher & that i wasted 31 minutes on the phone (costly) trying to cancel. it didn't matter.
