"If you are walking the Camino, this a wonderful, short detour and well worth it for the comfortable bed and lovely pool! We took a 6 euro uber from caminha centre and enjoyed such a lovely, luxury stay during our camino. The location is so peaceful and quiet and the pool did wonders for our aching bodies! Our hosts were so helpful and kind and the standard of accommodation was fantastic. We were leaving early the next day but we were sent on our way with the most amazing breakfast. We were sad...

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Rubiães?
The best time to go to Rubiães is during the spring (April to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is mild and pleasant, ideal for outdoor activities.

During these months, the temperatures are comfortable, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, with less rainfall compared to winter. This makes it superb for hiking the Camino de Santiago, which passes directly through Rubiães, or exploring the surrounding natural beauty of the Lima Valley. The lush green landscapes are particularly appealing at these times.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will appreciate the quiet trails and scenic views during these shoulder seasons. You'll find fewer crowds than in the peak summer months, allowing for a more intimate experience of the local culture and countryside.

Solo travellers focused on walking the Camino will find the conditions excellent in spring and early autumn.
