Everything about our stay was superb. Basically, a separate wing of their home was our lodging. However, you are free to stay in their living room, kitchen, garden, and beautiful pool. Richard and Vaia welcomed us and treated us throughout our stay as family members. We learned a lot about Tahiti from them and they always had excellent suggestions to make our stay better. Their home is within easy walking distance of many restaurants and sights but nicely a bit out of the mainstream. The place is beautifully decorated and spacious.

Make sure you have the codes to get into the lock boxes on the wall outside the steel door before you arrive. The homeowners were not home. This property is managed through a French property company called Welhome. If you have a problem you have to call France. I never had the homeowners’ contact number. You also live with this very nice couple. It is not private. You get a bedroom with no place to unpack your bags. My husband had to put his bag outside the bedroom. The private bathroom was huge, modern and across the hall. Welhome apologized for not realizing Welhome and Expedia had a computer platform communication problem. Welhome thought the link to the codes worked. I thought the homeowners would be home since I was never given the link to the codes. It was by luck that the homeowners saw my 6’3” husband waving to security cameras and they left a party to let us in. This is after flying from San Francisco to Tahiti and it is 8:30 at night. Not a good feeling.
