"The property was in pleasant grounds, in an attractive village. There are a number of b and b rooms in the barn which is now an annex to the main house. The room had a high ceiling so was airy and spacious. The ensuite shower room was too. The bed could be a double or two singles so was large size and we found to be comfortable. "Our last visit before the hotel closes 😢. We go once a year, normally around Christmas, but as it’s closing soon brought this forward. Huge thank you to all the Grosvenor team who we have met many times over the years for their kindness and hospitality. Chester is loosing not just a hotel but a genuinely unique landmark and much of that is down to the amazing staff. I hope it will return but sadly I suspect it may never have the special/uniqueness it has had as the staff will all have moved on or even retired. Wishing all the staff and the hotel the very best for the future."
