"We had a short stay at the Sanbonani Resort Hotel with our family. The rooms were large and quiet. The staff were friendly and we had the evening buffet which was good value. For our trips to Kruger it proved to be a good location and excellent value."

"Lovely venue with excellent service from the owners. The venue is an absolute unique experience on a working avocado farm and macadamia nut farm. This venue is lovely off the beaten track, so plan stay there and enjoy the excellent meals and the quiet."

"This was the nicest property we stayed at during 3 weeks in SA. The only issue is the drive to the property is rough, making access to restaurants prohibitive. I recommend this property for isolation and relaxation."

Room was spotless, staff were amazing. Beautiful location and our safaris booked through the resort could not have been better.
We had a massage at the spa and a pedicure which were both also very good.
All in all we had the most fantastic time and I can’t wait to come back.

We had a marvellous time at Caracal Lodge. It was a wonderful away from it all experience. Magtree Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped even though there is no electricity, power being supplied by gas appliances, paraffin lamps and LED lighting. It was magical to wake up with views of the resident giraffe family as well as zebra, impala, horses and a pet pig! Outside there was a braai, fire pit in a lovely shaded area and a small pond. Exploring the 300 hectare game park there...

My fiancé and I stayed for 2 nights at Elephant Plains and loved every minute. As I have never loved nature, I was skeptical and restricted the stay to 2 nights, but have left with khaki fever thanks to the safari guide (Matt) and tracker (Dumi).
We went to Kruger National Park afterwards and realised how we were spoiled by Elephant Plains. Elephant Plains offers quality intimate close viewings that will give you the experience of a lifetime.

Only a brief overnight stay en-route to the Kruger Park so didn't see much of it or use the facilities outside the chalet. What we did see was excellent and we would return. Spacious 2 bedroom chalet with river view, bathrooms good and beds comfortable.

Well designed tents with very comfortable beds. Showers worked fine, solar powered lighting was just lovely. We were there in August - very cold at night (need wholly hats & gloves, especially for the early morning safari). Surrounded by the bush, just on the other side of the fence from the reserve. Staff very friendly. Patrick the safari guide was great - very knowledgable and professional. Highly recommended.
