Secluded hotel with nice ocean view
Stayed on club floor, rooms decent. Paint flaking at some spots. Balcony door warped with rusty hinges, so it sticks. Bidet was the automatic kind, but didn't work. Informed front desk in night of checking in, nothing was done during entire stay.
Breakfast buffet menu was very limited. Be prepared for guest that do not line up, rush & push as well as horde food. Similar event for dinner buffet. Wait staff will stand around to chit chat. One waiter cleared the table we sat at but refused to wipe it. Walked around looking busy but doing nothing and passed our table 3 times giving me a blank stare. The restaurant managers/supervisors did a very good job picking up the slack, but I found it peculiar that the managers/supervisors had to work as hard as they did with that many wait staff on hand. Perhaps it was because on the CNY break, perhaps it's just really hard to find good help in Lumut.
Front desk staff that I interacted with were very good. Housekeeping and bellhops were also friendly.
The Thai restaurant serves a limited menu but very decent food. Prices can be slightly steep for what you get, but discounts are available for swiss garden privilege card holders, which then makes it comparable in price with the buffet dinner, without the associated stress.
Nearest dining options are off-site and about 30 mins away.
Flies are seasonal, might be good idea to call ahead to check if they anticipate flies during the duration of your stay.
