The beach is located just across the street. The Gulf of Mexico's crystal-clear waters and sugar sand beaches are easy to access by way of a pedestrian crosswalk. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. Broken deck chair, missing deck umbrella, rug was filthy and unusable. First night there, we discovered bugs, BTC did send some one over to spray the next day, however we still saw bugs (fewer) the entire 7 days. We had a water leak from upstairs to downstairs, BTC. Sent someone to fix it. The sliding doors upstairs are a menace. BTC did refund a small portion of the rent without hesitation so hopefully they will whip the property into shape. ##### Cathy T. It was beautifully decorated and spacious enough for my family of 5\. The community was very quiet and secure. It was very convenient to just about anything and the walk to the beach access wasn't very far. I did notice a lot of other people having golf carts to use and that would have been great but we managed without one since this unit did not include a golf cart( I didn't even realize that was a thing until we got there and I saw a lot of them) I want to add that we saw a few large bugs ( they looked like large roaches) my sister in law who lives in Panama City informed me they were Palmetto bugs and they are everywhere. The condo was very clean so that was not an issue. The rental company was amazing, I had to reach out twice for some very minor concerns ( the door code didn't work when we arrived) they were VERY helpful and friendly and it was resolved very quickly. Overall the place is amazing and I would definitely recommend staying here! ##### Deidra D. The original one we had rented was too small for our family. We are very appreciative to get into this house for the week. This house really gave a beach house feel. I don't know about the open ceiling in the kitchen if that fit in this house, but none the less, the layout and location was great for our family. The finishes could have been better. The screen door would not shut with the exterior door closed. Our biggest concern was the cockroaches though. Being from Minnesota, we don't see those. We definitely had some screaming girls in the house when they'd run across the floor. After we reported then, the house was treated 2 days in a row, but we still continued to see them both dead in the middle of the room and running across the floor and into the walls. ##### Trent P. We found out that if the owner of the unit we contracted for dropped their contract with bookthatcondo you get another unit. This unit was not like the one we contracted. Evidently they notified us in July about the change through email.? But they called us two hours before we were to be there while we were still driving! They told us we had two hours to get to their office before they close. Email to notify us but phone call to sign contract, we thought this was ridiculous, before we could get into the unit. Needless to say, we will not be using bookthatcondo again. Place was nice but not backyard and sun only in the morning. Dishwasher does not dry the dishes. It was a three bedroom but only the two of us. Front screen door did not close, had to work an outside chair in front of it so it would not bang at night. ##### Mary B.
