Hampton Inn & Suites Canyon
10/10 Excellent
"The Hampton Inn was perfect for our 2 night stay in Canyon. It was clean, and the staff was super nice. We took advantage of the breakfast and the open bar for happy hour. I would definitely stay there again."
Best unobstructed views of Sunday Canyon! 3.2 miles from Palo Duro Canyon.
10/10 Excellent
"My first time seeing the Palo Duro Canyon. This home had the most amazing views! Pictures do not do it justice! Home was clean and spacious. The only thing future guest might want to do is bring pillows from home. Pillows upstairs were flat. I’m a pillow snob so I always bring my own. Lol."
Fairfield Inn & Suites Amarillo Airport
8/10 Good
"Room wasn't cleaned during 3-night stay. Had to request new towels but they were changed out after request. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable but linens were a bit rough. Quiet place and nice people."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Amarillo Airport
8/10 Good
"Only drawback was traffic from i 40. Occasionally loud vehicles. Right down from the new Buccees so convenient to pick up snacks."
The Jackrabbit Tiny Cabin at Palo Duro Canyon
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was as described. Easy check in. A/C was cold, water in shower was good. It was exactly what we needed."
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Canyon by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Room was clean and the staff was great. They provided me a keurig for coffee since I had to leave very early in the morning prior to breakfast service."
Buffalo Inn Canyon
8/10 Good
"Bring an extra blanket, bed spread was very thin. AC wasn't turned on so room was hot for awhile, but it did eventually cool off."
The Aoudad Cabin at Palo Duro
10/10 Excellent
"These little cabins just outside of Palo Duro are a perfect spot to park and enjoy the canyon. We only stayed one night (on the way to Colorado), but enjoyed the time there. Next door is the Sad Monkey, which was a nice surprise – live music, good food, good atmosphere. I don't like leaving less than 5 stars, but of note – the pillows and mattress were rough. My wife woke up with neck pain like she's never had. To the owners, that’s worth the price of an upgrade. We sank toward each other on the mattress, which means it's very old. The AC units are also extremely loud, especially when the compressor kicks in (enough to wake us from sleep all night). Again, worth an upgrade to better units. Otherwise, this was a cozy, nice spot with good views, and less than a mile from Palo Duro. We'd stay again – but bring our own pillows. "
The Coyote Cabin at Palo Duro
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was just what we needed. Clean bed, cold A/C. Just good and basic. Pillows could be better. Fan dud not work. But it took care of us."
