Perfect Weekend Getaway - My wife and I just wanted a little weekend getaway to relax and enjoy some wineries and this place was perfect. Great location, quiet and peaceful nights sitting by the fire pit.

Really comfortable home. Appreciated being able to bring the pets! I would recommend bedside lamps to facilitate nighttime reading. Also, a couple of towel bars in the bathroom. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. We would stay here again!

Perfect place to stay while visiting family! My mom lives in Lake Monticello so being able to stay so close by made our visit this year so special! The home was cozy, and clean and comfortable for me and my husband and Adult son.! The home was even decorated for Christmas with a beautiful tree and lights, which was a lovely surprise. We will definitely be back to stay next time we come down!

We loved the location and community. It was quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfortable as were the living spaces. Staying a week and intending to cook, the kitchen lacked a few things but we managed.

We had a wonderful trip and stay at Hatch House. The house had everything we needed, plus extras! The welcome basket and toiletries were a nice touch. We enjoyed our time at the lake beaches and the house was conveniently located near Charlottesville, too! We would love to stay here again!

We were in Palmyra to celebrate a 90th birthday.The home was as advertized, and was in a perfect location. Please consider adding an ironing board (there was an iron), and a few extra coffee cups.

Perfect Getaway

Everything was just as described. Very clean property with all the necessary amenities and a super comfortable bed. Beautiful neighborhood with minimal light pollution and top tier stargazing. Excellent communication and simple check-in/check-out. On top of all that, the host contacted me a couple hours after we left and let us know he'd found a necklace we left behind. Will definitely stay again in the future. Book with confidence!

Simple

Simple is how I would describe the stay, which is exactly what you want when you're at a home away from home. While we didn't take in the amenities, we spent most of our time hiking and seeing sites, there were a lot available. The kitchen is stocked with utensils and other cooking equipment to make it easy to make your own meals, if you're not eating out. A last minute change with my dog sitter caused me to bring her along, and the owner was very accommodating. The home was clean, the instructions were easy to follow and it is somewhere I would book again for an extended weekend. Thanks for having us.
