An excellent experiance. A family of 8 elephants walked right into the court yard and were right beside me (6 feet away) for breakfast

Very average stay

The service can be improved. The staff at the bar was very unfriendly. We opted for the more casual dinner option. After taking our order, the waitress forgot to place it with the kitchen. When our dinner finally arrived, it was cold and the meat was not done to order. The room was furnished with the bare minimum.

Die Unterkunft ist im Nirgendwo, was für Namibia ja aber auch normal ist. Weite Wege auf Schotterpisten gehören halt dazu. Unsere Hütte war etwas abseits der Hauptgebäude, weswegen wir zum Frühstück und Abendessen ein bisschen laufen mussten. Herrlich. Die Hütte war mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet. Die Betten super. Der Sternenhimmel war sehr gut zu sehen, weil nirgends störendes Licht bei Nacht. Abendessen und Frühstück war hervorragend. Wir würden es nochmal buchen. Game Drive Sundowner war der Hammer. Wir hatten 2 Unterkünfte von Deutschland aus gebucht - inkl. Bezahlung. Es gab bei Ankunft und Abreise da ein wenig Verwirrung, da die Zimmer auf unterschiedliche Namen gebucht wurden. Das konnte aber geklärt werden und eine erneute Zahlung wurde anstandslos ausgebucht.

Besonders hat uns der Damaralandausflug mit Zieggy gefallen. Abgeklärt freundlich und kompetent hat er uns zu den Rhonos und zu Oskar und seiner Herde im Flussbett geführt.

Schön gelegene Lodge mit einer Elefanten Attraktion. Gutes Ambiente und grosse Zimmer allerdings ohbe Wifi.

Leider stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht. Grundlegend muss an der Sauberkeit in der Anlage gearbeitet werden. Gerade in den Zimmern lässt die Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig. Hier fanden wir tote Schaben wieder. Was bedeutet, dass das Zimmer nicht ordentlich gereinigt wurde. Auch die Terrasse, wies einigen Schmutz auf und war renovierungsbedürftig. Das Essen an der Poolbar war gut, das Frühstück war wie bei anderen Unterkünften auch in Ordnung.

Romantischer Aufenthalt im Damaraland

Wir hatten tolle 2 Tage hier. Empfang war sehr freundlich. Die Hütte gut ausgestattet, mit Klimaanlage. Mücken gab es bei der Trockenheit kaum. Die Pools waren sehr sauber und man hat von hier aus eine tolle Aussicht auf die Berge. Die abendliche Rundfahrt dauerte 4 Stunden, war sehr romantisch, lehrreich, abenteuerlich und es gab Gintonic mit Eis und dreierlei Tonics. Wir sahe hauptsächlich Giraffen und eine tolle Landschaft. Gerne wieder! P.S. auf dem Weg zur Küste sahen wir eine Wüstenelefanten ganz nah!

Wir waren im November 2021 für 2 Nâchte in der Palmwag Lodge und muss sagen war Super. Freundliches Und Hilfsbereites Personal, mussten noch einen Neuen Reifen haben, wurde alles vom Mechanischen Personal erledigt. Das Essen und Frühstück war richtig Gut und wir konnten beim Essen den Elefanten zuschauen wie sie sich die Büsche einverleibt habe. Würde die die Lodge jedem Empfehlen.

Good stay

The location is unique and rewarding. The desert elephants were close to the breakfast area. The staff was very accomadating. Rooms are comfortable. Food in restaurant was fine, typical African. I would reccomend to a friend.

Great stay

Fantastic location ( 4 wheel drive SUV or truck is recommended). Great family room with air conditioner sleeps 4 comfortably. Good dinner (paid) Breakfast was included and yummy.

wonderful accommodation in an amazing location

Great spot in an amazing location. Perfect pool and pool bar! Staff were lovely, especially our Afternoon Drive guide Kasupe - he made our afternoon drive just perfect!
