Pros: Good view of the golf course, safe, great bed/bedding, relatively quiet (especially at night). Centrally located in Palm Desert. Pool is open until 10pm but was always quiet. Nearby clubhouse has vending machines, ping pong, and pool table available at all times. Fitness room was well-equipped and clean. Unit is ground level and seemed to be ADA accessible.
Cons: This studio is located in the Jasmine Court villas, so it is very far from the rest of the property and amenities. Shuttle service to the other villas or the JW runs until 10pm at night, but otherwise a car or Uber/taxi is required. Nothing is within walking distance - you can’t even walk across the golf course to the rest of the property, as there are no pedestrians allowed. Parking is available but you’re not guaranteed a spot nearby. There is a pool in Jasmine Court, but it is lower quality / more dated than the property’s other pools. You can hear the unit above. Very minor traffic noise. I’m also not entirely sure the same villa is rented out for this booking each time, as the pictures are a mirror image of the one we stayed in. You do not have access to any JW amenities besides what is available to the public - I was even told by the front desk that I couldn’t book any spa services at the JW. No airport shuttle. No housekeeping unless staying for 8 days or longer.
It’s more affordable for a reason. Not a bad value for the money, but I wish I had known the information above before booking.
