Maui North Shore ocean-view Maui by the Sea is a beautiful vacation rental - an ideal ocean-view cottage located on an oceanfront property between Paia and Ho’okipa, on Maui's scenic and exciting North Shore. Our two-story cottage has gorgeous views of a sapphire ocean with dancing waves. Simply sit back and relax on the private covered lanai and enjoy the view! Tropical ambiance with all the comforts of home: The 500 sq.feet Central Air Conditioned apartment is upstairs (downstairs is the open garage), surrounded by a lovely Hawaiian tropical garden with bamboos, palm trees, gingers, heliconias and fruit trees. The inside is cozy and elegant. A separate bedroom with a queen-sized bed, full bath, and full kitchen complement the layout. The ocean is your front yard. The property is ocean front, our home is on the ocean side and the cottage is on the road side. Of course our guests have access to the chairs and table located at the edge of the ocean. No beach access from the property as there are some big rocks sitting in front. But a beach is walking distance from here. Tavares Beach. Walk out into the front yard (along the owners' house), and watch surfers enjoying the beautiful blue waves! Maui by the Sea's property is located right on the ocean, fronting a popular local surf break. The entertainment never stops! Your cottage is 150 feet from the ocean. (There is no beach in front of the property; it is a rocky shoreline). A sandy beach is 200 yards from the cottage with access for windsurfing, surfing and snorkeling; or if you wish, just sunbathing on the golden sand. A short drive down the coast takes you to Baldwin Beach, the nicest beach on Maui's North Shore with long long stretches of white sand, crystal clear water, lifeguards, pavilions, and showers. Legal permitting RENT WITH CONFIDENCE With 25 years of experience, Maui By The Sea has always operated under a legal County of Maui permit and our current permit is valid through 2031. DISCLOSURE: THERE IS A RENTAL AGREEMENT TO READ, SIGN AND RETURN AT TIME OF BOOKING. Maui by the Sea Cottage sits off of Hana Highway, it is a 2 lane road). There can at times be excessive road noise. However, we have good insulation and have added central air conditioning to minimize the problem. There will be no refund given due to this situation. Absolutely NO smoking in or outside the cottage or on the property. No candle burning or open flame. No loud music. No parties. No outside visitors. Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. From the guest cottage you look over the roof of the owner’s house to the ocean. Our guests are very welcome to walk anywhere on the property and use the lawn chairs by the ocean. There is no beach in front of the property, it is a rocky shoreline. A sandy beach is 200 yards from the cottage. The cottage is so cosy and has anything and everything you could possibly need for a fantastic vacation! The bedroom looked out onto the ocean and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked and clean. The living room had a plush comfy couch and large tv which was nice to cozy up on in the evenings after a long day in the sun. The kitchen had every piece of equipment you could ever need including a juicer with an endless supply of oranges on the trees outside. Bbqing and eating on the lanai overlooking the ocean was incredible. It was perhaps the most relaxing vacation my husband and I have ever had! If we could more than 5 stars we would. Oh and Valerie the owner was so nice and her communication couldn’t have been better. We had zero issues with check in, our stay or check out. Highly recommend…. My partner and I were utterly spoiled staying here. Valerie Craig made us feel at home with this amazing accommodation, which served as our private nirvana during our stay on Maui. The property's fruits were delicious, and the ocean view made us want to stay for the duration of our trip. We had many lovely BBQ meals on the balcony. Especially the view of the ocean from the bed and deck, the full sized kitchen, BBQ and covered deck enabled us to prepare our own meals nightly. Hosts are very helpful, generous and kind. Excellent location for enjoying Mama's Fish House and Paia town. The only complaint our entire stay is we found the mattress too soft for our preference. It was a wonderful time. The house is really well decorated & perfectly equipped. Every detail has been looked after and we just found ourselves almost better than at home...It was really hard to leave, although we feel privileged to be living in a beautiful city like Barcelona (Spain). The view is astonishing, the privacy complete, the location just perfect. This beautiful ocean view cottage was exactly what we were looking for when we decided to stay in Paia. Both were available and willing to offer advice or ask if we needed anything. The cottage was well stocked with all the conveniences of home and the attention to little touches did not go unnoticed. We did not want to leave! We will be back. The cottage was tastefully designed and just the right size for two. There were views from every window and a wonderful deck to enjoy our home made meals. The location was perfect to easily get to town, beaches, wonderful restaurants, and all that the North Shore has to offer. Although, it was hard to venture out as I could have stayed the whole vacation right there at the cottage. Valerie and Craig were also very helpful and a joy to know. The cottage and property were both charming, the cottage was clean and a wonderful private space, the yard and gardens were quite peaceful, and having the chairs for guests right at the water's edge, was a wonderful touch. We looked forward to watching the sunset every night! Valerie and Craig were excellent hosts, very welcoming and helpful. They made our stay even more enjoyable. The property was convenient for everything we wanted to do: beautiful beaches, sightseeing, and shopping.
