The cliffside Kahakai Park is only six blocks away, where you can relax on the lawn, sit along the cliffs, and listen to the ocean waves crashing on the shore. You'll also be close to the historic town of Hilo (22 miles north) and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (44 miles west).
