Our second camp site at Hanaker had an amazing hike up the canyon wall to a look out over the river and canyon. Very hot hike, but the views were amazing. If I did this one again, I would probably go in the morning. The raft trip itself is pretty easy, only one Class III rapid. The property managers were very vocal and wonderful hosts. The pantry nearly had everything we needed and more. The property was clean and decorated well. You can tell the owners really care about their guests. The yard games were fun, they had a rope swing and the fire table was in full working order. The house is in a peaceful setting just outside of Pagosa but still close enough to be convenient. We loved the location along with the great views. The home had everything we needed to enjoy our time together. We enjoyed our evenings outdoors around the fire pit and hanging out on the deck catching up on our lives. Plenty of room for everyone to relax and unwind.
