"Staying here was like staying at a friend’s lake house. It was clean, comfortable and had many amenities. There was a coffee bar with coffee pods, individual flavored creamers, honey and sugar cubes. The kitchen had the necessities of home, which made cooking fajitas on the grill easy. The beds and the living room were comfortable! But my favorite area besides the dock was the big porch with 3 different seating areas and fans to keep the skeeters away. We even enjoyed kayaking while we were there. The small town of Hawkins is 10min away with a Brookshires grocery store, Ace Hardware/gift shop and red Rooster Ice house! I love the tall pine trees of East Texas! It was great to get away from the white bright pavement ."

"My husband and I stayed for our anniversary and we had a great time! The cabin had everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The kayaks were so much fun and we were able to go out and explore the lake. Caught a catfish and a few other small fish. The hot tub was nice to relax in at the end of the day. Thank you for a great stay!"

"My husband and I spend our 10th anniversary here and we absolutely love the peaceful quiet setting. The property was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed sitting on the porch early mornings and late evening. We went fishing and had a blast even though the turtles took all our hair the experience was fun! We will definitely book this rental again."
