The Charles has an old world charm that can't be beat. The room was comfortable and charming. The breakfast was very nice with many options to choose from. Staff was welcoming and friendly. we will come back!

Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa
The adjoining room door was next to the bed. Very poor sound proofing. The next room’s conversations at normal tones sounded like they were in our room. They talked until 2:45AM. The hotel clerk did make note of it the next morning when I reported it. Hopefully they will fix the problem.

Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa

The Monterey Hotel
I stayed in one of the historic rooms, which is historically small and unappointed. There wasn't even a chair, just a bed and a bathroom. If you wanted to sit, you could sit on the toilet or the bed. The staff were fine, the hotel at least in that area, is pretty shabby. I was unimpressed and I will ...

Carmel Mission Inn
The hotel is lovely, steps from the barnyard shopping area in carmel valley and an eady drive to downtown carmel. It's also within an hours drive to big sur.
