"Very comfortable and well-appointed cottage, super-clean and with everything needed for a short stay. Felt like a home-from-home for us, and lovely to watch the cows in the next-door field! We would highly recommend to anyone, and two good pubs within walking distance as well, plus just a short drive into Sheffield or out onto the Peaks for fab walking."

"The decor throughout the hotel is somethIng to behold. Gorgeous original entrance to the lift, quirky decorations everywhere. It really added to the experience of a nights stay in a hotel. The rooms were very different from the norm and very clean. The staff were very upbeat and welcoming. We had a few long chats in the bar with the night shift manager. He was so good giving us a lot of historical info about the hotel and also the surrounding area. All in all, it’s a place we will defo be back to when next in the area."

"Lovely staff, nice breakfast and as clean as it could be when it clearly isn’t being kept in good repair. Bath all rusted and chipped. Couldn’t fault the staff though, super helpful and friendly!"

"This was our first hotel stay with our dog Bob, and what a fantastic experience it was. The staff were all wonderful and Bob was spoiled rotten. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was really big which suited the 3 of us. Breakfast was excellent. the golf course looked very inviting - maybe next time. We will definitely be back."
