In a quiet setting, with a private terrace on the water. The property is partly fenced off, and offers direct access to the 'Krekengebied', a creek and lake area that emerged from the flood disaster in 1953 and is now a nature preserve. The hiking trail is beautiful and quiet, and offers great views of the Oosterschelde. The area is home to all sorts of animals. At high tide, the land between the Oosterschelde and the largest lake offers birds a safe and dry location, and thus the area is popular with bird watchers. The house has three bedrooms (double bed 2x80, queensize 140 and two separate beds plus a sofa bed), a comfortable living and dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen (hob, microwave, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, waterboiler, coffeemaker and a Nespresso machine). Bedlinnen and towels can be made available for a small fee. There garden offers great privacy, and two terraces to enjoy the sun (or shadow). Ouwerkerk is also home to the Watersnood Museum, dedicated to the great flood of 1953 and located in the caissons that were used to close the last hole in the dike that the flood had caused. Visit the pitturesque nearby town of Zierikzee, with plenty of shopping opportunities and restaurants. The salt-water Oosterschelde is nearby and easily reached via a nature preserve directly accessible from the park. Go there at low tide to collect oysters, or simply to enjoy the scenery. Also in close proximity is the (sandy) beach of Ouwerkerk, a good and safe spot for families with young children. The North Sea beaches of Burgh-Haamstede are only a 20-mins drive away. There are several nice golf courses in the area, as well as charming historic towns such as Schuddebeurs and Dreischor. Veere, Middelburg and Domburg are also worth a visit. Die Lage war ideal-ruhig und doch zentral genug um schnell zum Strand, in die Stadt oder in die Natur zu gelangen. Der Gastgeber war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Perfekt zum Entspannen und Genießen. Das Haus war gut ausgestattet und gemütlich. Mit Hund sind sehr schöne Spaziergänge vom Haus aus möglich. Der Garten könnte mehr Pflege vertragen, die Stufen sollten dringend repariert werden, trotzdem haben wir uns wohl gefühlt. ##### Nelly D. Strände sind in der Nähe umd bis in größere Städte ist es auch nicht sehr weit. Leider wohnen in dem See am Haus nur Enten. Eventuell war das Wasser auch gekippt, jedenfalls hat angeln nichts gebracht. Auch keine Fischaktivität. Es war trotzdem eine tolle Zeit. ##### Andreas G. Equipement : tout ce qu'il faut. Propreté et confort de la literie irréprochables. Réponses très rapides du propriétaire à nos questions. Petite remarque : il n'y avait que 2 taies d'oreiller et 2 housses de matelas et pas d'essui mains alors que c'était prévu. Les housses de couette étaient en suffisance. Nous n'hésiterons pas à revenir dans cette maison très fonctionnelle dans une région où une foule d'activités est possible. ##### Gisèle V. Das Haus ist hell und freundlich und bietet alles, was man braucht. Die Lage eignet sich sowohl, um einfach nur die Umgebung zu erkunden als auch als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge oder zu den vielen Wassersportmöglichkeiten. Im Garten direkter Zugang zum See, leider ist das Wasser recht dreckig. Nachbarn sind freundlich aber sehr dicht dran.
