I am an architect that loves the work of starchitect Oscar Neimeyer. He designed the hotel in 1938. One of his first projects. It was a great place to experience his legendary vibe.
The Owners have done a wonderful job to maintain the hotel in its grandness.
We stayed in a two level suite that overlooks the city. Wow! What a memorable time.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The meals at Oscar Restaurant are perfect. Parking was included.
Unbeatable location, great view, excellent food at the restaurant (I don’t usually eat at hotel restaurants, but I ate at this one four times during a three-night stay not counting breakfast). If you’re interested in architecture, Oscar Niemeyer designed this place (which was a delightful surprise that I didn’t remember seeing in the description), and they seemed to have maintained it in mostly its original design. It felt like being able to stay at the Paimio sanatorium by Alvar Aalto. Very cool. My only complaint was that breakfast is supposed to start at 6:30, but that’s just when they start putting it out, which meant I couldn’t have anything the last morning before my 7:00 bus.
A equipe é sensacional.

Rosangela, ambos do Restaurante Oscar.
Ponto positivo é a excelente localização.
