Beautiful and well maintained home in a relaxing river-front community. Ottawa is a nice sized city only a few minutes away and Starved Rock Park is great for hiking and only a 15 minute drive from the home. The second floor loft was a great space BUT the steps were very steep so if you have little ones it may not be the best for them. Also, it got VERY hot up there! Management gave us a fan which helped a lot, but my youngest daughter couldn't sleep on the top bunk up there, just too hot and not enough air circulation so high up. Just a heads up! I would recommend that you bring your own dish soap and kitchen towels/dish cloth as there was only one towel for the kitchen. I would recommend to the property owners to install hooks or bath rods for places to hang your towels. Overall, a very nice place and great location if you want to hike at Starved Rock. We loved being on the water and watching the boats go in and out of the marina.
