Great location to have a few very calm days right by the fjord near Bergen, with different nature activities right around the corner. The hosts are very kind and welcoming, the rooms are spacious, as well as the well equipped kitchen and living room area. Can only reccommend this place! Thanks for a very relaxing stay. I would definitely come back.

A Hidden Gem That Exceeded Expectations

I love the place... my room had a fantastic view over the water to the small islands... the 2 terrasses for all were great... the boathouse is also fantastic....and the huge kitchen with the dining area is spacious and also has great views... I enjoyed every minute there....also the hosts are both very kind and open... just perfect

Villa Oleanna is magical. The view from the room, the view from around the property is amazing and mesmerizing. The rooms are terrific, the entire property is wonderful. And the proprietors are caring, warm and everything one would want in a place to stay. Sitting outside with a capuccino looking out at the fjord as the sun sets--- Wow. We will go back as soon as we can.

My rental car broke down which meant I wasn't going to get in until very late. Frode was very responsive when I messaged him to let him know this. He sent very specific check-in instructions and that was extremely helpful! His place is like going to a spa. It's beautiful and the water view calmed me down after a long travel day. I would highly recommend his place!!!

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. They went out of their way to make everything easy and convenient, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The property itself is beautiful and truly feels like a hidden gem. It’s peaceful, well-maintained, and surrounded by stunning scenery, making it a very special place to stay. We were also impressed by how kid-friendly everything was. Traveling with children can sometimes be challenging, but the thoughtful setup and welcoming atmosphere made it easy for our family to relax and enjoy our time together. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway. This place is something special, and we can’t wait to come back.

A tranquil, soul-cleansing stay near Bergen — highly recommend My family stayed at Villa Blue View Apartment for 5 days in August 2026, as the last stop on our Scandinavian trip. We chose it for its proximity to Bergen City, easy access to hiking trails, and being right on the water — and it exceeded every expectation. Frode and Svanhild, the owners, welcomed us with real warmth. We spent wonderful time getting to know their family, and it gave the whole stay a personal, homey feel that's rare to find. As a family from NYC, the quiet and stillness of the property felt like a genuine detox — my 8-year-old spent his days "fishing" by the water and feeding the two resident swans that stopped by daily for a snack. Such a simple joy, and one of his favorite memories from the trip. If you don't have a car and want to properly unplug, this place is ideal. Frode even offered to drive us to the grocery store and to the bus stop for a day trip into Bergen (about 30 minutes away) — that kind of thoughtfulness made a big difference. We loved our stay and would recommend Villa Blue View to any family looking for a peaceful, authentic Norwegian experience near Bergen.
