Area overview. Suggestive additional indoor and outdoor furniture in wrought iron of local handicrafts (appliques, chandeliers, lamps, railings. Room, bedroom, bathroom and washing machine with large living room with kitchenette. Caminetto with wood stored in a warehouse will close on the terrace. PARKING PRIVATE COVERED, useful also because parking near the old town of Orvieto are few, almost all pay and with narrow alleys reachable. GRANDE TERRACE EXCLUSIVE 32 mq.con table, chairs, wooden rocking chair, separated by walls and hedges. A large pergola provides shade and privacy in the terrace surrounded by walls and hedges with a pound banister. NEIGHBORS U.S. owner lives and we are naturally available from tips and brochures to visit the territory. We are aware of the need for autonomy and privacy. Even if it is quiet in a quiet area statistically, we installed the blinds armored. THE AVERAGE PRICE OF EURO 350.00 WEEKLY little to fear. Includes all consumption (water, enel, gas, etc.) with sheets and a set of 3 towels per person to change every week. My Hosts: Fausto e Rosaria were lovely, kind and very helpful.The 'Casa Serafina' provides a classic environment of ancient Orvieto period - as one can see in the photos. Each piece of orginal art and furniture has an amazing story to it. Like staying in a museum, also very homely. Easy access for car, and parking undercover directly underneath the Casa. I had no car, I came by train. I am so glad I did, as I went on many refreshing walks all around. The transport was excellent: a Funicular, local Buses every 20 mins, and the Train. And huge escalators automatic, just a short walk up the road, to take one to Orvieto old village - so easy. The kitchen in the Casa: well equipped. I purchased much local produce and enjoyed some excellent flavours. And save money, by cooking my main meal at the Casa. Also enjoyed meeting local people - so hospitable and friendly. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Fausto dans une maison extraordinaire, très propre avec tout le nécessaire et une décoration qui ne laisse pas indifférent. Le parking privé est très appréciable, ainsi que les produits locaux offerts par les propriétaires à notre arrivée. La maison est située au pied du centre historique. Orvieto, perchée sur son rocher de tuf est une ville magnifique. Il y a beaucoup de choses à faire. Également un lac appréciable par forte chaleur à 20 mn en voiture. It is located just outside the walls of Orvieto, a 5 or 10 minute climb away from the elevators that take you up to one of the city squares. It is a nice energetic climb for younger folks or for older ones in reasonable shape. One can drive 3 minutes and pay for parking at the site of the elevator. There is parking, tight for two cars but ample for one. One has to be very careful entering the street from the garage, however. Fausto, the owner, has reasonably good English. He is willing to help and is enthusiastic about the Etruscan remains all around the area. He has prepared a nice list of restaurants that he says locals like. His Italian descriptions of the area display thorough knowledge. His English versions are not linguistically perfect but helpfu. Very nice place for the money.. ##### les b. L' emplacement sous la terrasse pour garer la voiture est très pratique car il est difficile de se garer dans cette région. L'accueil de Fausto est chaleureux tout en restant discret pendant le séjour, grande documentation dans la maison, et produits du terroir offerts. La circulation dans la rue est assez dense mais se calme la nuit. E la seconda volta che veniamo a casa Serafina da Fausto, casa confortevole ben arredata, situata a qualche passo del parcheggio dove si trovano l'escalator e l'ascensore per arrivare al centro d'Orvieto. Il parcheggio della casa è pratico perché parcheggiare non è facile. L'accoglienza di Fausto è caloroso, mette a disposizione una numerosa documentazione dell'Umbria. Ci ha fornito molte informazioni sui luoghi da visitare e ci ha fatto sentire subito a nostro agio. La casa è accogliente ed è molto suggestiva, richiamando nell''arredamento il contesto storico-culturale in cui si colloca. C''era anche un bel terrazzo panoramico e la vicinanza al centro storico ci ha permesso di visitare agevolmente la città (volendo, le scale mobili e l''ascensore, per chi non è in grado di camminare molto, sono a pochi minuti a piedi da casa). Noi viaggiavamo con i nostri 2 cani di taglia media (mix labrador) e anche loro hanno apprezzato molto il soggiorno, dal momento che proprio dietro la casa c''è una bellissima passeggiata naturalistico-archeologica e il terrazzo spazioso ha permesso loro di giocare senza pericoli perché ben recitanto. "Ottimo e meraviglioso appartamento in un contesto veramente affascinante. La casa è veramente bella e arredata in stile medioevale con un camino a legna stupendo. Oltre alle cose descritte e visibili nelle foto abbiamo trovato con piacere alcuni pensieri molto graditi (Olio della zona,dolci tipici e macchina del caffè con cialde a disposizione gratuita). Il proprietario ci ha fornito gentilmente indicazioni per il soggiorno e possibili visite in loco. Graditissima anche la biblioteca con vari libri "turistici" inerenti le caratteristiche di cittadine limitrofe. Orvieto è da vedere e la consiglio assolutamente per una vacanza di relax arte e cultura. Grazie di tutto Sig. Le centre ville est à 2 pas, il y a plein d'' excursions possible et pour vous aidez de la documentations est à disposition. "This was a lovely apartment, very close to the elevator up to the town of Orvieto. The apartment was exactly as shown and listed, with good parking and a nice outdoor patio at the base of the town wall. The wood carvings throughout were gorgeous. "Das Haus ist liebevoll und schön eingerichtet, sehr gut ausgestattet und hat eine große Terrasse. Der Vermieter ist äußerst diskret und sehr freundlich. Es war für ihn selbstverständlich, uns vom Bahnhof abzuholen und wieder zu bringen. "De woning ligt aan een doorgaande weg en heeft een eigen carport onder het terras. Bereikbaarheid goed, al maakt de drukke weg het in- en uitparkeren soms wat lastig. Vanaf de carport bereikt men via twee trappen de woning met eigen terras. Het terras (voorzien van tuinmeubilair) heeft deels een rieten afdak, maar ligt desondanks het grootste deel van de middag in de volle zon. Een parasol (niet aanwezig) zou geen overdaad zijn. Het huisje is van alle gemakken voorzien. O.a. nette keuken met voldoende bestek, glaswerk en serviesgoed. Ruime badkamer met wasmachine. Droogrek; beddengoed en handdoeken aanwezig. Ook zijn er een tv, kluis en aansluiting voor internetgebruik. Verder was het huisje keurig schoon. De eigenaar heeft duidelijk zijn best gedaan met de inrichting de woning een eigen karakter te geven. De eigenaar is trots op Orvieto en omgeving; hij heeft een dikke map met veel informatie samengesteld. Bovendien waren daarnaast vele reisgidsen en boeken in diverse talen in het huisje aanwezig. De eigenaar en zijn vrouw waren zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Bij aankomst stonden er een fles wijn en wat kleine presentjes klaar. Het centrum van Orvieto is vanaf de woning gemakkelijk en snel bereikbaar. Wij hebben er twee weken met veel genoegen doorgebracht en bevelen het van harte aan!!" ##### Nicolette H. ---
