Great time

The property manager is great to work with and been coming to Westgate Lakes for years love the location and the rooms are very spacious and the resort has everything you need from the restaurant to the pools ,bars and water park.

We had a great time

We spent most of our time at Universal and Island of Adventure. It was an extremely easy commute. We also spent a couple days in the pool. It was very nice and warm. The room was clean and beds were comfy.

Fantastic property for family with kids

The waterpark was awesome but did not realise that there was an upcharge for it. I probably just didn't read that bit. The unit is large and bright and lovely. The property is wonderful with loads to do or you can just laze by the pool. We would highly recommend this property. We did not get hassled for any time share requests even though I saw them happening.

Great Stay at Westgate!

We had a 3 night stay at Westgate Properties in Orlando, using it as a launching pad to hit a couple of the theme parks. The location is great (especially for Universal Studios), we had dinner on property one night, food was tasty and surprisingly reasonable. We grabbed food and conveniences at the Marketplace - and we swam in the pool both evenings, which was very comfortable given the nights were a little cooler. The Unit itself is very comfortable, has a good kitchen set-up with utensils, pans, etc. There is coffee for one morning provided, so make sure you bring extra if there for an extended stay. And the patio/living room area is very nice - we played games on the patio, bug-free, and enjoyed some movies on the big screen TV. The only suggestion I'd make to management would be a little nicer towels, but everything else was top notch! Thank you,

Good Overall Stay

Room was as described and clean. Beds were comfortable. Everyone we spoke to with the staff was friendly and helpful. Wanted to try the on site restaurant but there was a 90 minute wait on a Sunday evening with what appeared to be empty barstools. This was told to the party ahead of us and we decided to leave and order uber eats, but would not have minded sitting at the bar if given the opportunity. The only concerning thing was a guest checking in next to us who had been there for some time eventually spoke to the staff loudly saying 'so you're saying my money is stolen and I shouldn't book with VRBO?' He more or less indicated that something had happened with the site and the hotel was not honoring his VRBO reservation. I hope he got it straightened out but such an experience can make one leery to use the site again! Other than that they do push timeshare tours by having a timeshare guy call the day before to confirm the reservation and attempt to book a tour, and at the front desk after giving directions to the room they again encourage you to stop by the entrance desk to 'learn more about the resort' which we skipped as we assumed it was going to be another sales pitch. But again very nice property only a little dated and I would stay here again.

The unit was very spacious and conveniently located near the pool. The furniture could use some updates and a comforter on the bed would be a nice touch. Otherwise, there were no issues with the room or amenities offered. It would have been helpful to know that the water park was at an additional fee.
